Ki o Rahi Poneke Festival

Wellington City will host the inaurgral Ki o Rahi festival on Saturday the 1st of October at Wakefeild park in Island bay.

The event will kick off at 8.30am and finish around 5pm and is part of the REAL NZ FESTIVAL

With a fast paced ripper version tournament open to schools and social teams and also some hard hitting nonoke (tackle) games with the 1st inter provincial match between Whanganui and Poneke in recent times it promises to be  a spectacle not to be missed.

There will be opportunities to have a go at some traditional maori activities like weaving, poi making/playing and much more.

Kai will be available with lots of delicious and nutritious options.
