Training 2 Te Tairawhiti
Was held on the sunny east coast Te Tairawhiti. Providers from Te Hauora o Turanganui a Kiwa and Te Runanga o Ngati Porou attended the training along with some local Rangatahi.
It was held in the Pirates rugby club, a big thanks to the Pirates for the great venue and Hine moa who looked after us while we were there, good lluck for next rugby season. We would also like to the Reweti and his team from the Hauora for arranging the venue and the catering, which kept our energy levels up long enough to learn and play, nga mihi ki nga ringa wera!!!
One little bump was access to the sports field, sun was shinning, weather was sweat, but we were'nt allowed to move our sporting feet (thanks Bob) the Gisborne City Council asked us to leave as they were saving the grass for something? However, we manage to get onto Barry park to play Ki o Rahi, Tapu ae, Horo Hopu and Ti Uru
The feedback from providers was possitive and we really enjoyed meeting everyone and learning from the awesome things that you's are doing in your rohe, keep up the good work, ka mau te wehi. Was good to catch up with Ihi Heke, bit sad the poaka wasn't ready, but hei aha. Looking forward to getting back up there as soon as possible. Maybe after new years at the "inter marae sports convention" aka PA WARS in Ruatoria
Hei te wa
