The 1st day was held at Koutu marae, fantastic spot where Papa Takaro o Te Arawa are doing awesome things to help the whanau up there, big thanks to Paora for arranging the venue, mihi whakatau and kai for the training. Nga mihi ki nga ringawera hoki!!!
Days 2 and 3 were held at Ihenga marae at the Waiariki institute of technology, if you're in the hood and have a chance to check the whare tipuna out we highly recommend it. Master carver was Lionel Grant and he's done an awesome job using traditional and some more contemporary techniques
A big mihi to Cherryl from sport BOP, who provided training around disabilities support and inclusive games. Also to Wolo for sharing his experience, time and gears. Look forward to catching up at the national conference in October.
