Training 4 Auckland region
Was held last week at Lynnfield Community Center. A fantastic venue if you're looking for a place to train in Auckland.
There was a good turn out from the local hauora in cluding Nga Miro trust, Hapai Hauora and the whanau the help administer, Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki and Ngati Hine.
A big Mihi to Megan from Te Hapai for all th ehelp she gave us getting the venue, people and kai sorted, look forward to catching up in December.
1st day included sessions covering kaupapa based activities and nga taonga takaro, also got some games in including Ki o Rahi.
Day 2 covered information on Disabilities Support, Engaging Inactive and Injury prevention, games included Tapu ae, Horohopu, Poi Toa, PUKANA and Ti Uru.
Day 3 was Health Promotion and Youth leadership, we learnt some other versions of hei tama tu tama, dragon ball Z and went over any patai for the games we covered over teh last few days!!!
Was great to meet all the whanau from the far north area and learn some of the awsome things you's are up to.
